There is a clarion call of advise out there on how to choose an autoresponder to automate your business when you start affiliate marketing. Most of it drivel written primarily to build the authors downline in one service or another. Cool, they’re marketing – I get that. But it is not very helpful to someone trying to figure out the best autoresponder solution for thier business. Nor is it an honest approach to giving help.

Many of the programs for affiliate marketing and list building programs or sites will start to feel like a trap when you find it doesn’t integrate with your particular autoresponder. And it will happen if you stick with this. Don’t get bent out of shape about this. It really doesn’t matter. What matters is that you pick one, load up some emails into it and start collecting email addresses to which you can market your affiliate offers.

Now my advise here is based on the viewpoint of a software junkie, if I haven’t tried them all it is only because I haven’t seen the link to a particular one! Stay with a reputable company, don’t ever spam the folks on your list, and get to work. You’ll be fine.

  1.  Aweber – Great company with top notch customer support. Very helpful people and tons of helpful material to assist you in learning. They have monthly fees or longer terms with price breaks. Aweber probably integrates with the most services which is a big plus. Easy to learn dashboard makes for a pleasant learning curve.
  2. TrafficWave – Best pricing and they cater to affiliate marketers. Resources are good and the support is great.
Free Services
  1. Mailchimp – Actually a paid service, but they have a free plan to 2000 subscribers which can be helpful. No tech support for the free plan, but a great service.
  2. Lead’s Leap List Builder – Actually a list building program. It is a great place to get started while you learn. The reason I include it here is because they will give you an autoresponder program that you install on your own domain. It works great, but this option requires not being afraid to do the install of the program.

Confession here… I have been on a buying spree the last month and that is not necessarily a bad thing. I’ve always been a die hard software junky and automation nut and there have been some great software products coming out lately. And these purchases are also a great way to learn ad techniques. So I took the plunge and purchased several. Among these purchases were some affiliate marketing strategies, most noteworthy one in particular really stood out – 8 Minute Profits.

  • Colors and text formatting – keeping both consistent throughout your pages will improve response.
  • How the lead capture is preformed – is it the first step on a dedicated page, or a pop up on the main sales page, etc.
  • If you are buying through an affiliate – did she/he direct you to a bonus/presell page first? Power Tip: Do this, this gives you a chance to add a potential buyer to your list.
  • Study the lay out of the main sales page – note where the different elements are located. Bullet lists, videos, testimonies, buy buttons, all of these can have an impact on the effectiveness of your ad campaign.

Everyone who starts affiliate marketing is looking for the successful
market that will return the most money. Many of them think there is
some magic formula involved that will lead to success for them. 'Tis
much more mundane than that. It is just good marketing practices
that have been proven to work over years of hard work and
dedication.

There are three strategies that have worked before with online
marketing and will continue to work for the foreseeable future. Here
are three such marketing strategies, which will be able to increase
your sales and make it possible for you to survive as an affiliate
marketer.

1. Use separate, unique web pages to promote each product you are
marketing. Do not lump all of it together just to save some money on
web hosting. While I know it can be daunting to think you should
spend more money when first starting out... keep it in mind, it is best
to have a site focusing on each and every product and nothing more.

Is the Money in the List? Without a doubt. You will get sick of hearing it, but if you will start here you will save yourself months or years of resisting what you will eventually wind up doing, and your path to a sustainable work at home lifestyle will be much shorter.

Now, that is not to say that you will not come across some programs that will swear you do not need to worry about list building, but pay attention here: the first thing they will get from you is your email address and they will put it to good use, as they should, in marketing their program and possibly other offers to you.

When you start affiliate marketing the great thing is that you do not need a product to begin making money. There are thousands of viable products available that you can make a great income on. It does not matter what your interest or your niche is, there are plenty of products waiting for you to earn commissions. If you have a good product of your own to promote, that is also easily done as soon as you begin to advertise correctly online.

And as for affiliate programs, nothing could be simpler to get started with. Sign up, promote it, and watch as the money starts coming in
(hopefully). This is all great, but then what? After that find another product and start all over again.

If however, you have been active with list building when you find or create this new product, you will already have hundreds or thousands of

This is important, treat your list as a group of friends that you want to help with the information that you are providing. Just follow the golden rule and treat your list as you would want to be treated and you will be on your way to success.
